Growing
Watching my daughter grow has been something idescribable. She is becoming quite the little princes with quite the personality. I can already see the struggles for independence although she is only two. Over time Amy and I see before us a little girl growing up, sometimes it seems, too fast. But the truth is her growth is slow. What we see as huge steps is really the the culmination of a bunch of small ones. It only seems it is too fast when we forget to take notice.
Watching her, I learn quite a bit of how our relationship with God, I think, should work: slow, steady and sure. I find a lot that most of us only take notice when we take what we believe as large strides in knowing God. We only wonder and testify of the great and the grand, when really all the grand is a result of the process God takes us through everyday.
It is a shame we don't give God more credit for never leaving or forsaking us. It is a shame that we fail to give Him glory for being God to us in every moment. He is able to do the unthinkable, but prepares us for such through our everyday small steps we take with Him. That's what walking with Him is all about.
Easter is approaching. We will celebrate the huge moment of His rising from the dead, and appropriately so. But let us not forget the great glory god desires for our every minute.
